Abstract
The talk presents recent research results in HPC based on projects from the SPPEXA priority program and other projects, as they are conducted at the LSS of FAU in Erlangen, and in the Parallel Algorithms Team of CERFACS in Toulouse. The solution of extremely large problems demonstrates the state-of-the art in the field.
