Abstract

In the paper a novel method for reconstruction and parameter estimation of moving target signals acquired with a highresolution wide-swath (HRWS) SAR system is presented. This method uses a special matched reconstruction filter bank (MRFB) which is applied on the multi-channel signals acquired with low PRF. Owing to the application of the MRFB low PRF ground moving target indication (GMTI) can be performed simultaneously with HRWS imaging without the need of a separate high PRF system operation mode. In this way the advantages of the HRWS system, i.e., the wide swath and the high resolution, are preserved for both HRWS SAR imaging and GMTI.
