Abstract

This paper presents a calorimetric method for measuring power losses in semiconductor modules, with the following

advantages:

Particularly suitable for low-lossy light load conditions, e.g, automotive main inverters

No calorimeter required and is nearly as easy to perform as the electrical input-output based methods

Accuracy nearly as high as traditional calorimetric methods
