Abstract


Using the predictions made by a microstructure sensitive creep model for high-γ′-containing superalloys, this study will compare the predictions made for the dislocation activity during different stages of the microstructural evolution against experimental results in order to understand the role and influence of microstructural coarsening. Furthermore a composition simulation was undertaken to present optimization potential with respect to microstructural coarsening properties.
