Abstract


The affinity of the metals Cu and In is higher to sulfur. A crystallisation of mixed sulfo-selenides of Cu, In and Cu-In due to exchange reactions between S and Se is observed. Within the Cu-Se-S subsystem a wider solid solution range of S and Se is apparent as compared to the In-Se-S system. The reactions during the chalcopyrite crystallisation for chalcogen ratio [S]:[Se]=1:1 are similar to those of the pure sulfur system at least within the In-Se-S subsystem. (C) 2008 Elsevier B.V.
