Abstract


A review was given focusing on the addnl. green chem. aspects that arise from the use of a catalytic transition metal in an ionic liq. reaction mixt. It took into account that catalytically active metals can be present in an ionic liq. as homogeneously dissolved metal-ligand complexes, as nanoclusters/nanoparticles or as part of a classical heterogeneous catalyst that forms a suspension with the ionic liq.
