Abstract

Combining a theory for reflection free termination of coaxial lines together with a novel manufacturing method results in coaxial 1-mm matches with an excellent absorption behavior over the frequency range from 0 to 110 GHz. Three different electromagnetic simulation approaches verify the capability of these matches to achieve smaller reflection coefficients than -43 dB over the whole frequency range and matches with a maximum reflection coefficient of only -32 dB have been produced.
