Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing and isolating lactic acid, wherein the lactic acid is produced from a base material contg. carbohydrates by fermn. while adding ammonia, and the release of the lactic acid from the ammonia salt of the lactate occurs by adding a mineral acid, and the isolation of the lactic acid occurs by an extn. using an alkylated amine, and extn. preferably occurring at a pH value of 4.0 to 2.0, wherein a multi-phase mixt. is formed, which is split, whereupon the formed phase is either distd. using the lactate salt of the amine, wherein the lactic acid is obtained as a pure product, or the formed phase is thermally decompd. with the lactate salt of the amine, by means of which an oligolactide is obtained, which can be distd., wherein pure dilactide is obtained.
