Abstract

Analyzing intensity distributions is of great importance for today's illumination systems design. Contrary to Monte-Carlo techniques, differential ray tracing possesses great potential to improve simulation efficiency by reducing computational time while concurrently showing accurate results. © 2008 Optical Society of America.
