Abstract

Local positioning is a demanding task for industrial environments. With the help of six-port technology, a precise and easy to use concept for angle of arrival (AoA) and distance measurements will be presented in this publication. AoA resolution below 0.005° and resolving distances of 1μm for a 24 GHz six-port architecture will be shown by measurement results. Furthermore, impairments compensation issues and limitations of the technology will be discussed.
