Abstract

"Dixie cup" packing: Molecules of the first structurally characterized derivative of (C N) bearing trifluoromethyl groups are stacked in register 10.179Å apart to form a rare non-close-packed arrangement (AAA see picture). The presence of the nitrogen atom on the fullerene core results in unique addition patterns in C N(CF ) . Copyright © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
