Abstract

Scheme and parameters of dispersion-imbalance loop mirror (DILM) have been optimized for phase-preserving amplitude 2R regeneration. DILM performance for DPSK transmission has been evaluated in numerical simulations. A 4.8 dB Q-factor improvement has been demonstrated. © 2009 OSA.
