Abstract

Increasing requirements as well as product development processes getting more and more complex cause an increased likelihood of unneccessary design iterations. So, developers need a framework to avoid unnecessary and time-consuming detours by assessing effects of each possible change. Aim of this contribution is to identify key factors for the avoidance of unnecessary iterations and to present approaches for coping these challenges. Furthermore a framework for the avoidance of unnecessary iterations based on a continuous monitoring the product's degree of maturity is introduced.
