Abstract

This paper deals with the electronic structure of ruthenium. Synchrotron radiation in the range from 15 to 45 eV and angle-resolved ultraviolet photoemission are used to map the energies of the electronic states. The Fermi surface of Ru is determined using angle-resolved ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy. The experimental results an compared with calculated photoemission spectra obtained within the framework of the one-step model of photoemission.
