Abstract

This paper is an introduction to the Generic Evolutionary Algorithms Programming Library (GEA) system. The purpose of the GEA system is to provide researchers with an easy-to-use and extendable programming library which can solve optimization problems by means of evolutionary algorithms. GEA is implemented in the ANSI C++ programming language and is designed in a way that enables users to integrate new methods and individual representation forms easily.
