Abstract

The discovery of ferromagnetism in (TDAE)C, where TDAE is the tertiary amine tetrakis(dimethylamino)ethylene, stimulated us to search for other amines, namely diazabicyclononene and diazabicycloundecene, which like TDAE lead to magnetic fullerides. Three tertiary amines were investigated. The doping process was studied in detail by in situ EPR and absorption spectroscopy (UV/VIS/NIR). A complex reaction behaviour has been observed. Studies of EPR and AC-susceptibility in the solid state show in all three cases pronounced magnetic correlations up to 80 K. © 1994.
