Short description
One of the goals of this project was to answer the question whether cooperatives are indeed organizational forms that foster behaviors that are related to high performance work practices or commitment-oriented behaviors. Our findings indicate that cooperatives and especially producer’s cooperatives are in fact such types of organizations. They more often engage in profit sharing and they invest more in the training of their employees than other organizations do (i.e. investor-owned firms).
Scientific Abstract
Eines der Ziele dieses Projekts war es, die Frage zu beantworten, ob Genossenschaften tatsächlich Organisationsformen sind, die Verhaltensweisen fördern, die mit "high performance work practices" oder commitmentförderlichem Verhalten verbunden sind. Unsere Ergebnisse scheinen darauf hinzuweisen, dass Genossenschaften und insbesondere Erzeugerkooperativen tatsächlich solche Organisationsformen sind. Sie praktizieren vermehrt Gewinnbeteiligung und investieren mehr als andere Organisationsformen (d.h. Unternehmen im Besitz von Investoren) in die Weiterbildung ihrer Mitarbeiter/innen.
