Abstract
The invention relates to a base station for a wireless telecommunications system, in particular for a CDMA system or network. It is an object to provide a base station and amplifier arrangement for a base station with high efficiency and/or low power consumption, which can be flexibly adapted to fluctuations in RF transmission power requested. According to the invention, a base station is provided, comprising an amplifier arrangement for amplifying signals transmitted by the base station, wherein said amplifier arrangement comprises two or more parallel amplifier branches with different maximum output power.
