Abstract
The invention relates to a switching signal generator (101) for generating a switching signal having discrete values from a bandpass signal, the bandpass signal having a first center frequency. The switching signal generator (101) comprises a noise shaping means (123) for shaping a frequency characteristic of a quantization noise, the noise shaping means (123) being configured to generate a first frequency notch (305) at the first center frequency and a second frequency notch (307) at a second center frequency to reduce a power density of the quantization noise at the first center frequency and at the second center frequency.
