Abstract

Under pressure: Carboxylic acid dimers enclosed in molecular capsules experience an internal pressure of about 5-10-kbar, which leads to compression of the hydrogen bonds (see scheme). © 2011 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
