Abstract

The adsorption behavior of a new-crit. fluid (SF6) on a graphitized carbon black (V3G) and in controlled-pore glasses (CPG 10) was studied. The surface excess amt. Γ of SF6 on V3G was measured by approaching the crit. point along the crit. isochor from the one-phase region by using a new volumetric technique. The crit. behavior of SF6 was also studied in narrow pores (CPG 10) of mean pore diams. 7.7 nm and 24.2 nm. [on SciFinder(R)]
