Abstract

The results on crystallization and investigation of the luminescent properties of a new prospective ceramic
phosphor based on the Ce3+ doped Ca2YMgScSi3O12 silicate garnet are presented for the first time in this work. The luminescent properties of Ca2YMgScSi3O12:Ce were compared with the properties of the reference Ca3Sc2Si3O12:Ce ceramic sample. Without any doubt, the results of this research can be suitable for the development of a new generation of white converters based on the Ca2+ –Si4+ garnet compounds.
