Abstract

Due to the increased data volume in product development, the use of PDM systems has become established. Current trends show a shift away from the monolithic integrated product model towards a semantic product model. In order to extend this product model by a description of the manufacturing process, which is particularly important against the background of the digital twin, methods of process mining are suitable. The result of these methods is always a model of the given process, which is to be fed to the higher-level system via a semantic interface. Thus, ontologies that enable a semantic description are suitable for the interface definition. Within the scope of this article, based on an exemplary manufacturing process, process mining is applied and a prototypical interface is designed.
