Abstract

This year marks the fifth anniversary of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region (EUSDR) endorsed in 2011 by the European Council. With its introduction, a new type of cooperation arose in the Danube Region. The cooperation’s main goals are to better connect the region, protect the environment, build prosperity and strengthen institutional capacity and security. In our paper we present slightly provocative postulates to stimulate discussions – one postulate focusses on the evaluation challenge as such, three postulates concentrate on the specific added value in MRS contexts. We conclude with a view on possible future steps.
