Abstract


Shorter product life cycles along with continuously changing requirements lead to a demand for more efficient product development processes. Result-ing from these upcoming challenges the guiding principle „Right-First-Time“ focuses on a reduction of iteration loops during product development. As a consequence product developers need suitable tools and methods to allow a more efficient product development process. In this contribution a new meth-od, which is based on methods for the conceptions of systems in motion and Robust-Design principles, is presented. This novel combination takes kinemat-ic requirements as well as possible geometric uncertainties into account. As a consequence the designed system not only fulfills the kinematic requirements but is also insensitive to deviations from the ideal state.
