Abstract

The uranium(IV)/uranium(IV) μ-sulfide complex [{(( ArO) N)U} (μ-S)] reacts with CS to form the trithiocarbonate-bridged complex [{(( ArO) N)U} (μ-κ :κ -CS )]. The trithiocarbonate complex can alternatively be formed in low yields from low-valent [(( ArO) N)U(DME)] through the reductive cleavage of CS . © 2011 American Chemical Society.
