Abstract


Simulations contribute to the efficiency of the product development process and the quality of the developed products. However, their integration in the development process can be improved. We propose a knowledge-based framework, containing a toolkit of

simulation methods as its central element to integrate simulations in the product development process. Within this paper, we briefly introduce the knowledge-based framework and we present the toolkit structure and the methodology for its development.
