Abstract

[Figure Presented] macrophage Removing cytotoxics: A Mn- pentaazamacrocycle removes NO; Cy and their ONOO product as shown by real-time amperometry at single cells (see picture). This is the first compound able to completely abolish the cytotoxic effects of reactive oxygen (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS) in inflammation. © 2010 Wlley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
