Abstract (technical / expert description):


The goal of the project is to develop a theory for mixed integer-continuous (hybrid) dynamical systems comprising partial differential equations with application to optimal control of gas networks. The focus lies on creating a theoretical foundation for the regularity and sensitivity of solutions to hyperbolic partial differential equations under the influence of integer decisions.
