Dr. Christian Sölch



Christian Sölch has been a research associate and doctoral student at the Professorship of Economics, Industrial Organization and Energy Markets, at the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nümberg (FAU) and at the Energy Campus Nürnberg (EnCN) since 2013. Until the end of 2016 he was also employed at the Center for Applied Energy Research (ZAE) Bayern as part of the Smart Grid Solar project. He studied business mathematics with a focus on optimization and process management at the FAU and at the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María in Valparaìso, Chile. His research interests are in energy economics, in particular the modelling of different market designs in transmission and distribution networks, with a focus on the investment decisions of the different agents.
