The main focus of this group is the development of high order numerical
schemes, particularly the discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method, and
application of these methods to the simulation of circulation and
transport in coastal and global ocean. We actively investigate numerical
and programming techniques to achieve efficient computational 
performance for unstructured and adaptive meshes. The results of our
research are implemented in our ocean simulator UTBEST3D.
