This research area is dedicated to the philosophical thinking in the Islamic World. It focuses on medieval philosophy. Besides central protagonists such as al-Farābī (d. 950) and Ibn Rushd (Averroes) (d. 1198), I deal in my research with Yaḥyā ibn ʻAdī (d. 974) and al-Ghazālī (d. 1111).
