This research area addresses conditions and processes of education and socialization in societies that characterized by (hyper-) diversity and contributes to the development of diversity education. In particular, we examine conditions and pedagogical strategies for dealing with difference in education from a comparative perspective. Furthermore, we analyse transformational educational processes in the context of diversity, especially in transitions, and possibilities of diversity education to support such processes.
