The division "Public Health and Physical Activity (Head: Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Alfred Rütten) is concerned with the promotion of physical activity and health of special population groups, such as the elderly or migrants, while at the same time addressing the problem of proportionality and policy development in the field of physical activity promotion. With these priorities, the ISS acts at the interface between social sciences and health sciences, which is becoming increasingly important. Through international, applied and occupationally oriented teaching and research, the field of work has been able to excel in recent years.
