Description:


The research of the Chair Energy Process Engineering focuses therefore on the combustion and gasification of biomass and coal in fluidised bed reactors and on the development of an allothermal gasification process using a Biomass Heatpipe Reformer.



The Chair is provided with impressive experimental equipment. Additionally to the experiments, CFD‑simulations (FLUENT) and calculations for cycle processes (Aspen Plus, IPSEpro) provide information about e.g. the melting behaviour of ashes, the kinetics of the pyrolysis and the gasification process as well as the integration of innovative energy storage technologies with combined heat and power (CHP) plants.
