The IEEE Signal Processing Society elected Prof. Dr.-Ing. Walter Kellermann Vice President Technical Directions for the 2016-2018 term. As one of four vice presidents of the Society, he is responsible for all of the Society's scientific and technical affairs, including the activities of its Technical Committees and the future scientific direction of the Society. The IEEE Signal Processing Society is currently the fourth largest of 39 IEEE societies, with more than 17,000 members and more than 430000 IEEE members.
