The Gastein Research Institute (FOI Gastein) aims to promote excellent research in the field of balneotherapy, rehabilitation and spa-medicine with special emphasis on the medical use of low doses of the radioactive noble gas radon. The FOI Gastein therefore will award a research prize for outstanding research in the above mentioned fields.
The Gastein Award recognizes established and early-career researchers who depict research excellence through publication output or thesis content.
One publication award is rewarded for an excellent basic or clinical scientific publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
